Hey everyone! I've started writing a new Peter/Claire fic that will probably run about 12 chapters (the longest Heroes story I've written yet). I've had this story idea for a while so I'm pretty excited about it. I've made a trailer and I hope you enjoy it. The first chapter will be posted in a few days.

Hey everybody!  I let myself take a slight break from academia to finish up a story that's been laying around half-finished on my computer for over a month.  I hope you like it!

Title: The Place Between Dreams And Waking
Pairing: Peter/Claire

Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1,368

Summary:
Claire loses herself in a dream about man she can never have.

A/N:
Can be read as a standalone, but is part of my Unrelated series.  It’s a prequel to We Were Never Good At Being Uncle And Niece, so Peter and Claire aren’t related, but they don’t know that yet.

Oh my gosh, Nathan Petrelli, you slay me.  I'm watching the uncut pilot and this is his line after his mother steals socks:

"Thank god mom's fine.  She's a criminal, but she's fine.  Next thing you know she's going to be telling us she's a crack whore."

*g*

I sort of wish they'd kept that in.

I wanted to share with you the first of two covers for the Heroes hardcover graphic novel collection. It's by Alex Ross and it's amazing. It's from TV Guide and was posted by [info]sylargrrrl  on [info]heroes_tv .

I totally have to figure out where to pre-order my copy.  Does anyone know if normal bookstores are going to carry it or if I should do Amazon or something?  And I didn't realize there were going to be two covers.  You're totally going to make me buy two copies, aren't you Heroes?

Okay, so to share with all of you, I have one completely lol hilarious Harry Potter thing and one super-rockin' Heroes thing.

To start:

The silly people at the New England Center for Headaches have diagnosed Harry Potter with "probable migraines."  To which my response is...Well, duh.

Seriously, it is one of the most hilarious articles I've ever read.  They're even publishing it in the journal of the American Headache Society (didn't even know that existed).  If you're up for a laugh, definitely check it out.  It's pretty short.

"That even a young male Wizard has recurrent disabling headache is a reflection of the wider problem of headache in children and adolescents," the researchers write.

Also, something that I found very exciting is that Heroes has it's own official alcoholic beverage!  It's called The Eclipse and was created and named courtesy of Greg Grunberg (I love him!).

The Eclipse
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau)
1/2 cup orange-flavored vodka
 2 and 1/2 tsp orange-flower water (optional)
1 bottle champagne or sparkling wine
Strips of orange zest

In an ice-filled pitcher, mix juice, Cointreau, vodka, and orange-flower water.  Strain into glasses, top with champagne or sparkling wine.  Garnish with orange zest.  Serves 8.

Okay, so I made a wallpaper for the first time.  [info]iamlillykane had a post where she mentioned Hayden's interview on Martha Stewart and how Hayden said that in the season finale "I have to choose between something I love and everyone else."  Thus the inspiration for this Peter/Claire wallpaper.  I hope you like it!

Also, if you want to see the interview clip with the quote, it's here at around 4:20.

"Time isn't a straight line.  It can twist into any shape." - the Doctor

Okay, so I've been telling myself for a while that I would get around to watching Doctor Who because it seemed like my sort of show and until now I'd only seen an episode and a ten minute clip of another, but today I watched the first 6 episodes in a row.  And, oh my gosh, it totally is my sort of show!  I love it to pieces.  Sure, the special effects are a little silly at times, but it's great.  Time travel and aliens?  It's amazing it took me this long to sit down and watch more of it!

And the Doctor is great (I was tempted to start in season two to see David Tennant, but I didn't) and Rose is great...and there was a cute British guy on the last episode I watched (Dalek), but I spoiled myself and saw that he's only gonna be around for another episode.  Oh, and I think I'm officially a Doctor/Rose shipper so be forewarned (it's all started when I saw the clip of the end of Doomsday!).

Oh, and since I've already watched Torchwood, it was fun to see Tosh in one episode and Gwen (playing a Gwyneth) in another.

Basically, this is to let you all know that I got myself hooked on another TV show.  And I may get obsessed.  Probably not as much as Heroes, but still.  *g*
